“Bácska Stone” – a new friend of the Subotica Half Marathon
The Subotica Half Marathon has expanded its already large family of friends, and this seventh edition will also have the generous support of the company “Bácska-Logistik” Ltd, which for many years has been engaged in the production, transport and sale of raw materials for concrete and asphalt plants.
According to Dávid Hasanović, representative of this company, whose headquarters are in Baja, Hungary, “Bácska-Logistik” Ltd was founded 14 years ago as a family firm whose core business was road freight transport, mainly the transport of bulk cargo. “Adapting to the needs of the market, and in order to ensure reliable and punctual delivery, we felt we needed to expand our business with mining activities. In this way, for more than 10 years our company has been engaged in the mining of river gravel and the production, transport and sale of raw materials for concrete and asphalt plants. Since our founding we have gained great experience in supplying raw materials for the construction industry and in the needs of the market and users.”
Hasanović points out that the business policy of “Bácska-Logistik” Ltd is always based on building long-term partnerships, which is why they have become one of the largest suppliers of mineral raw materials in southern Hungary. Taking into account changed construction habits and the building of a large number of roads, cycle paths and public spaces, the company started producing finished products from its own raw materials. In 2020 the design and construction began of the first, and then the second, production plant on land purchased in the Industrial Park of the city of Baja. “On 15 June 2021 we started selling our products under the ‘Bácska Stone’ brand to our existing and new partners. I have to say that in this way we have arrived at responsible management of mineral resources, from transport to the production of finished products, and we have also shown that with our own minerals, tools and our company, which is one hundred percent Hungarian-owned, we can produce quality concrete products with a flexible service. Of course, that is why regular feedback from our partners is important to us.”
Based on the experience gained over many years of work, over the past 10 years the company has designed its own products, both concrete kerbs and paving slabs, and the company’s development consisted of two main phases. “The first phase was completed at the end of May 2021, when an automatic production line for high-performance concrete elements was put into operation in the first plant. In the meantime, construction of the second plant began, and in the first half of 2022 the second automatic line for the production of concrete elements and paving slabs was put into operation. We are constantly expanding our product range: in 2022 we enriched our offer with a wide range of coloured products and, thanks to continuous product development under the ‘Eco Stone’ brand, with road kerbs and channel paving slabs produced from recycled inert waste,” said Dávid Hasanović.
