Preparations for the jubilee 10th Subotica Half Marathon are already well under way

While the impressions from the 9th edition are still being gathered, the organisers are already working hard on the next race, which should bring an even greater number of participants and a completely new experience for all running enthusiasts.

The 10th Subotica Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, 29 August 2027, and the jubilee edition has been announced as a true sporting spectacle. It is planned to be a night half marathon with fully adapted content, with the expectation that all the races will be the biggest so far. For the jubilee edition, the limit is also planned to be increased to as many as 2,000 participants.

Registrations for next year are already open, and the organisers have prepared an innovation that should make the whole process even easier. Registration takes place through the Subotica Half Marathon app, where participants can sign up, make changes and additions, leave notes, and also pay immediately.

The plan is for the jubilee 10th Subotica Half Marathon to bring additional refreshment zones, even more music stages along the course, a richer accompanying cultural, artistic and children’s programme on the main square, as well as specially designed jubilee medals.

All of this shows that work is already under way to make the next edition a step above this year’s, which has already set very high standards. After a record turnout, more than 1,900 registered participants, more than 800 youngsters in the children’s races, a packed Subotica, numerous music zones, excellent logistics, generous starter packs, a “Pasta party” that broke the attendance record and an organisation with no delays and no complaints about the timekeeping, expectations for the jubilee edition are high.

The organisers say there are plenty of reasons for optimism. As they put it, the tenth Subotica Half Marathon will be a real sporting spectacle — a night race, an even bigger start field, more music, additional refreshment zones, a richer programme and a special jubilee medal. So there is no dilemma: everyone who loves running, sport and a good atmosphere should be part of this event.
