Working meeting held on the occasion of the jubilee 5th Subotica Half Marathon
At the invitation of Dr Bálint Pásztor, President of the Subotica City Assembly, a working meeting was held on the occasion of the 5th Subotica Half Marathon, attended by representatives of the relevant public services, authorities and institutions together with the sports association Horizont, the organiser of the Subotica Half Marathon.
In a two-hour open discussion we touched on many topics and experiences, as well as everything that awaits us in the organisational preparation of the race.
The public services, authorities and institutions confirmed their readiness to accommodate the organiser once again and to do everything together with us so that this event is organised in the best possible way.
Their readiness to cooperate and openness on many matters important for such a demanding project are a guarantee of a great upcoming event, which is what the 5th Subotica Half Marathon will be, #runthroughhistory
The participants the organiser expects in the main races, between 1,500 and 2,000 runners, as well as more than 1,000 children in the children’s races, will be welcomed by many novelties on and beside the course, which we discussed.
Some of them are the presence on the course of the orchestra of the music school, one of the oldest in our country, sprinklers at several locations in the city, the open doors of newly restored Art Nouveau buildings for tourist runners, a running expo in the city centre, and planned exhibitions about distinguished people of Subotica from our rich history.
As organisers of the Subotica Half Marathon, we are extremely pleased with the cooperation we have with the public services, authorities and institutions, and we take this opportunity to express our great gratitude to all of them.
We are expecting all of you in Subotica on 28 August at the latest, and from 26 August at the earliest, when the festival of running begins in Subotica, Serbia and the whole region.
